Add-on edge: The mounting frame is fitted with a dark gray plastic add-on edge at the top and bottom. This edge is made of PC+ASA and is bonded to the mounting frame using a melting process. The corners of the two add-on edges have rectangular openings (7.9 x 1.5 mm), each containing a multi-position snap hook. The four rectangular openings ensure that the cover plate can always be attached flush to the wall, even in the event of sloppy plasterwork, thanks to the snap hooks. This works both ways: if the flush-mounted box protrudes from the plaster, the multi-positional snap hooks can accommodate a clearance of 1 to 1.2 mm; if the flush-mounted box is recessed too deeply into the plaster, the snap hooks can accommodate a clearance of up to 1.8 mm. The extension edges also feature four round openings that ensure the cover plate can be correctly positioned relative to the central plate.
